World Reference for Reclaimed Hardwoods

Velho Brasil’s success story started in 2002 when the company was founded by Edmond van Wijngaarden.

Enchanted by the beauty of Brasil’s antique hardwoods, Edmond made a commitment to develop exclusive, contemporary, modern furniture with the use of wood from recycled barns, farms and old houses.

The long years of dedication to production efficiency and finishings at the Brazilian factory and the implementation of European technology and quality control systems, paid off handsomely. Today, Velho Brasil has clients all over the globe and is considered the world reference for reclaimed hardwoods.

In the beginning of 2010, Velho Brasil teamed up with traditional powerhouse Casa Fortaleza Vitrine, whose 11 stores now attend professionals and end-customers in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro with Velho Brasil´s reclaimed wooden floors. Resellers of floors and furniture in other states of Brasil sell our products under their own brandname.

Outside of Brasil, Velho Brasil´s products are regularly showcased on some of the world´s main tradeshows, like Maison & Objet in Paris, and High Point and Las Vegas Market in the USA, through our importers and distributors.
